Hanging Bridges
One of the Arenal area’s newest attractions is located in 250 hectares (617 acres) of primary rainforest. It consists of 3 Kms (1.8 miles) of trail which pass over 15 bridges ranging from 5 to 100 meters (17 to 331 feet) in length. While on the trails you will experience impressive views of the rainforest canopy, birds, rivers, waterfalls and visibility permitting, The Arenal Volcano.

Horseback riding to the La Fortuna Waterfall
A horseback riding of approximately 50 minutes will bring you to the trailhead. From there a 15 minute hike through the rainforest will bring you to the Falls. Swim in the crystal clear water or just admire the falls before hiking back to the trailhead and riding your horse back down the mountain.

Horseback Riding to the Volcano
You’ll enjoy a good riding for around 3 hours into Costa Rican faro, bordering the Volcano, through the rain forest, the trails lead to a place where the panoramic view of San Carlos valley abounds with flora and fauna, wild animals can also be seen while enjoying the ride.

ATV Tour
This tour takes three hours and it is designed to be enjoyed by anyone, It does not matter if you have experience on ATV or not. The vehicles are 350cc, and they are automatic and very easy to use. The tour is begins with safety chat about driving the ATV and tour instructions. Part of the tour goes around cattle pastures, lakes, rivers, challenge wetlands, off roads, primary rainforest trails, where you will be closer to the best volcano’s view available.

Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge

Car-Boat-Car to Monteverde
This is the easiest quickest way to get from La Fortuna to Monteverde as you will be picked up at your hotel and taken to Lake Arenal. From there you will cross the lake by boat to Rio Chiquito and continue from there by car to Monteverde with a total traveling time of approximately 3 hours.

Cerró Chato Hike
Cerro Chato is known as the Arenal Volcanoes brother is a sleeping volcano. You will hike up its west side and get down in to the crater where a beautiful lake is located. From here you will hike up again to the trail and walk down the east side of la Fortuna Waterfall. This tour is very hard and is for serious hikers only.

Arenal Volcano Hike
You’ll travel 25 min. to the far west side of The Volcano to begin the tour in the National Park. You’ll cross the river, and spend about 2 hours exploring the park. Your reward at the end of this trail is the path created by the 1992 lava flows. You have time to explore and your guide will explain the history of this magnificent volcano.

Mountain Bike Tour
Enjoy an adventure trip, observing the most important attractions at the same time, the forest, the volcano and the lake because they can be experienced on the same path. The Journey star taking an old trail to the forest, located just at Arenal’s dam, continuing until the Arenal Volcano National Park’s main entrance. The route continues to the observatory having the opportunity to observe the best and most impressive panoramic views of the volcano. Later, we will return by the main road back to the departure point.

Night Walk, Hanging Bridges or Eco Center Danaus

Rafting on the Río Sarapiqui
This tour starts with a drive to the town of la Virgen de Sarapiquí. Once at the river and following a safety briefing we will hit the water for a ten mile ride over class III rapids that will take approximately 2 hours. Upon leaving the river we will have a delicious typical lunch before heading back.

Sports Fishing on Lake Arenal
